Advertising Sales Representative

Job Description

Summary: The primary responsibility of the Advertising Sales Representative will be to sell print and digital advertising products.


  • Sell advertising space to existing and new advertisers – Online, print and sponsorship opportunities for its various magazine brands.
  • Use proprietary systems to maintain customer database, track results, provide customer service and identify growth opportunities for its various magazine brands spread across Equine, Lifestyle, Farms and collectible content categories.
  • Work lead lists, cold call and identify new advertisers with a sharp focus on increasing advertising client base of EG Magazine portfolio.
  • Collaborate with advertisers to secure relevant ad materials and marketing team for seamless processing and deployment of assets as per set timelines.
  • Attend industry trade shows when needed.
  • Aid and assist AR operations team in collections efforts for accounts where payment is getting delayed.

Competencies and Key Skills Needed

  • Minimum of 2 year of advertising sales experience, preferably in print Media/Magazine Publishing with exposure to both print and digital products would be of added value.
  • Prior experience in sales planning, sales strategy development and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate relationships as well as secure new business through face-to-face meetings, e-mailing, and phone interaction(s).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or experience in related field a plus.
